Spinal degeneration is a gradual process related to a lifetime of accumulated spinal “insults”—including falls, sports injuries, work injuries, car accidents, poor posture, and repetitive stress.

Disc degeneration is not necessarily determined by age. There is evidence that spinal degeneration can begin as early as age 15!

It is a gradual process related to a lifetime of accumulated spinal “insults”—including falls, sports injuries, work injuries, car accidents, poor posture, and repetitive stress.

Activity (or inactivity) that causes spinal misalignment (subluxation), nerve irritation, and accelerated wear-and-tear on the discs, can lead to degeneration, if ignored.

Usually, by the age of 30, about 30% of adults will already show some degree of degenerative spinal changes. By age 50, about 50% will have a degenerative spinal disease. Chiropractic care can minimize the risk and delay the progression of the disease.

Don’t wait until the damage is irreversible. Often there are no symptoms during the early stages.

Now is the time to schedule your Chiropractic spinal exam.
