Numbness and Tingling

cder1Numbness, tingling, and pain are an extremely annoying problem.

It may come and go…interrupts your sleep…and even makes your arm or legs feel weak at times. Maybe you’ve even been to other doctors and they claim all the tests indicate you should feel fine.

More than 20 million Americans suffer from this problem caused by interference to the nerves that supply your arms and legs.

A common treatment for many people suffering from numbness is to take some sort of pills, potions or lotions to see if the problem goes away.

If your nervous system has interference, those area’s supplied by those nerves won’t function properly.  When this happens, you may feel numbness, tingling, and pain.

Chiropractic adjustments to your spine can help correct your nerve interference, if you are experiencing arm pain, tingling, and numbness or have been treated for arm pain, tingling, and numbness and haven’t found any relief of your symptoms, chiropractic care may offer the answer you’ve been looking for. The most common cause of numbness is a subluxation (pinched nerve).

A chiropractor is the best option to correct a subluxation (pinched nerve). Dr. Miller will evaluate the entire nerve pathway from the affected body part, through the spine, and into the head to ensure the nerves are working correctly. You may receive a spinal adjustment to correct alignment problems in your back and neck. Nerve interference (pinched nerve) is caused when one or more of the 24 movable vertebrae in the spine become thrown out of its normal alignment in relation to the vertebra above and below, putting pressure on the nerves that exit through openings in the vertebrae, or directly on the spinal cord. This misalignment is known as a subluxation (pinched nerve) and is the main source of numbness and tingling in the arms and legs. The causes of subluxations are many. Any sudden jar or jerk of the spine can cause nerve interference. Even simple nervous tensions can twist and contort the spine, causing interrupted flow of nerve energy.

It is necessary for Dr. Miller to locate and eliminate these subluxations of the spinal column to allow the life force to flow unobstructed to every part of the body. When this happens, the body will return to a state of good health.
